I'm Aariz Sheikh — I like owning the whole stack: Rust and systems programming underneath, Next.js and motion design up top.

3rd-year B.E. IT at the University of Mumbai. This site is itself a full-stack project — it runs on a custom Supabase-backed CMS I built, with an admin dashboard, auth middleware, and a rich-text editor for case studies.

// Proof of Work

Rust, running in
your browser.

Not a video, not a shader trick. This is a ray tracer I wrote in Rust, compiled to a 29 KB WebAssembly binary with hand-written JS bindings — no wasm-bindgen, no libraries. Every core of your CPU is tracing the pixels below. Drag the scene to orbit — then keep scrolling and let it take over the page.

read the Rust source
aariz@system: ~/raytracer — cargo build --target wasm32-unknown-unknown
scroll to boot the renderer
awaiting first frame...

whitted-style ray tracing · one web worker per core · fresnel reflections · scene colors from this site's design tokens
